Aoife Sheehan

Hi, I'm Aoife, a certified paediatric sleep consultant and a mum to two energetic young boys - both of whom threw me their unique curveballs when it came to infant sleep. If you are in the midst of navigating the challenging waters of sleep-deprived nights, I can relate, I’ve been there too and understand the toll it can take on the whole family and on your entire life.

My fascination with sleep began long before I became a parent, but it ignited a true passion in me when my first son arrived - he was a natural sleep thief! Like many parents before me, I turned to the internet for answers. I read countless books, articles and Instagram posts on the topic and became completely engrossed in the science of infant sleep. However, I found that putting the science into practice was so much harder through my own sleep deprivation. So, after encountering too many nights of fractured sleep, I reached out to a sleep consultant, and I am not putting it lightly when I say that she changed my life! After implementing her recommendations, the improvements we saw were immediate. And getting a few hours of solid, unbroken sleep each night made me feel human again. This sparked a drive to shift my career path. I left my corporate job, working in a large multinational tech company, and started Get Better Sleep to help other families to get the support they need in implementing healthy sleep habits for their children.

My training with the world renowned Family Sleep Institute has equipped me with comprehensive, evidence-based and science-backed knowledge necessary to offer families the information, strategies, and holistic support needed to get better sleep. My primary degree in social science, coupled with my professional experience has provided me with the problem-solving skills essential for supporting you and your family to solve the continually shifting puzzle of sleep. I am dedicated to providing your family with the best possible sleep solutions, tailored to your parenting style and your baby’s temperament. Using science-backed methods to ensure your baby gets the rest their developing brain and body needs.
