About
My Journey
I have always passion for supporting maternal and child health, I studied a at Westminster University, where I completed my Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Naturopathy. This laid the foundation of my understanding in differential diagnosis, pathology, and holistic health, emphasizing the body's innate ability to heal and maintain balance. My studies were not just about acquiring knowledge; they were about embracing a philosophy that sees each individual as a whole, where physical health, emotional well-being, and natural processes are intricately linked.
Before stepping into the world of lactation consulting, I worked as a doula, providing physical, emotional, and educational support to mothers before, during, and shortly after childbirth. This experience was profound, teaching me the importance of presence, empathy, and personalized care.
Professional Experience
My professional journey has been diverse and enriching, working within the NHS's infant feeding teams, in community settings, hospital wards, milk banks, neonatal units, and specialized tongue tie clinics. I've had the privilege of contributing to the well-being of families across several esteemed institutions, including Queens Hospital, King's College Hospital, University College Hospital, Kent Community Health Trust and Newham Hospital.
My Belief
I believe in the power of natural therapies and the importance of connecting with our instinctual selves, especially in the realm of motherhood and infant care. Breastfeeding is more than just a method of feeding; it's a way of life that fosters connection, nurtures love, and supports the health of the mother and baby in unparalleled ways. I am here to support, educate, and empower you and your baby to get the best start on this journey.
Beyond Professional
Outside of my professional life, I am a mother of two wonderful children who have been my greatest teachers. They've shown me the depth of maternal love and the joys and challenges of parenting. Dancing is my sanctuary, a space where I find balance, joy, and a sense of freedom. It reminds me of the importance of caring for oneself, to better care for others.
TESTIMONIALS
What parents say about Victoria
"Very happy with Victoria for helping me with breastfeeding and expressing colostrum in a
very technical way. I learned a new technique from her that was effective. More importantly,
she provided mental support, showing me how to do it practically and teaching me along the
way."
L.M.
"I was breastfeeding my baby incorrectly because I’m a first-time mum, and my baby was
small, which made it harder. Victoria showed me how to breastfeed my baby easily, and now
I feel comfortable. She demonstrated how to use colostrum, how to sort it, and how to
breastfeed to get the colostrum. She is very nice, helpful, and understanding."
